We offer the following body treatments:

Chi Moshi Massage

Chi Moshi Massage integrates a variety of techniques. Depending on your circumstance or request, the therapist may utilize all or some of the following modalities: Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology, myofascial, or light shiatsu massage to design a treatment for your specific body needs at the time of visit.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles.  Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension or knots (also known as "adhesions.") through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure across the grain of the muscles while breaking up and eliminating scar tissue. Deep tissue massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is used for all types of athletes who train frequently. It focuses on the muscles relevant to the particular athletic activity. It may be used as a means to enhance pre-event and post-event, improve flexibility, help prevent injuries as well as decrease recovery time. This massage concentrates on increasing motion and flexibility, relieving muscle soreness, and promoting a quick recovery from muscle overuse with a variety of massage, range of motion; passive, active and static stretching techniques. The intent here is to calm the nervous system and begin the process of flushing toxins and waste products out of the body to allow the athlete to perform at their best.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal Massage focuses on the mother-to-be as she goes through the changes due to pregnancy. A trained certified Childbearing Cycle specialist will focus treatment on the concerns of each trimester. Performed by a trained professional, many methods of massage therapies are both effective and safe prenatally, during labor and postpartum periods of women’s pregnancies. Massage therapy enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue. When options for relief during pregnancy are limited, prenatal massage fills the void effectively.

Postnatal Massage

Postnatal massage can offer great benefits after the mother has given birth, treatment will assist in restoring the body back to its normal condition. As stated under prenatal massage, postnatal massage can also enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue. It has also been shown to help to naturally re-establish a woman’s pelvis structural integrity after childbirth, promote healthier lactation, help balance the woman’s hormones and assist healing and recovery of scar tissue from a caesarian section.

Infant Massage

The results of several studies showed that infant massage alleviates the stress that newborns experience as a result of the enormous change that birth brings about in their lives after leaving the womb. Both premature infants and full-term babies need the relaxation that comes from massaging and moving their limbs and muscles. Massage provides the relief necessary to disperse gas, ease muscle spasm, calms infants with colic, tone the digestive system and help it work efficiently.  The stimulation an infant receives can also aid circulation, strengthen muscles and relieve constipation.
